Quick & Easy Stir Fried Scallion Oil Chicken Chinese Chicken Stir Fry Recipe
Stir-fried scallion oil chicken is a flavourful and aromatic dish that combines tender pieces of chicken with the rich taste of scallion-infused oil. The dish has a strong savoury profile, with the umami-rich flavours coming from the chicken itself, as well as the combination of soy sauce and other seasonings used in the marinade and sauce. Ingredients
  • 500g chicken drumsticks, cut into smaller pieces
  • 2 tbsps light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsps rice wine (or water if you can't consume alcohol)
  • A few dashes of white pepper
  • 0.5 tsp sugar
  • 3 stalks of spring onions, add the stems first and the leaves last
  • Half a red onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp premium dark soy sauce
  • 120ml water
  • 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing Huatiao wine)
