  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 0.5 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 6 shallots, sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 50g dried shrimp, rinsed
  • 2 Chinese sausages, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cups or 380g raw jasmine rice, measured with a rice cup
  • 2 tbsps light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps premium dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups or 450ml water, measured with a rice cup
  • 250g Beijing round cabbage, teared into smaller pieces
  • 2 stalks spring onions, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
